Automatically assign proplus licences to new users

When a new teacher signs up on the web for Office 365 and confirms their e-mail address Office 365 automatically assigns them an A1 licence. I have to manually go in and change each one to a ProPlus license.

 

Is there a way I can auto assign new sign ups on our domain the ProPlus licenses?

It can be done through the Azure portal. I can’t remember where/how right now but I’ll have a look in the morning for you.

Azure Portal > Azure Active Directory > Licenses > All Products. Choose Pro Plus you want to assign, click Licensed Groups and then Assign groups you want it to apply to. From then on licenses will be applied as long as there is enough.
