Office 365 Compliance Search

We've had a SAR for someone with a three letter surname which happens to three characters which appear in a whole heap of other words. When we do an Office 365 eDiscovery, searching for that surname, it returns around 100,000 results in which the name is embedded. Is there a "Match Whole String Only" option inside the search syntax that I'm missing? I've looked at the KQL documentation but it's a bit heavy.
