kennysarmy Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I have a redirected desktop group policy, it's been edited because I've changed the location of the centrally held desktops. The policy is working but any staff or students who have previously logged on to a PC are seemingly getting "cached" details which point them to a desktop location that no longer exists. If we delete the local profile then of course everything is fine. No amount of client rebooting or GPUPDATE /Force is fixing the problem. Any ideas before I have to go round all 850 clients and remove local profiles?
fiza Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Any ideas before I have to go round all 850 clients and remove local profiles? Can you not use Delprof2 in a script to do this if you had to?
robyholmes Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Do you have the 'move contents' option picked? If you can do without it, ie pre move them, then it'll likely solve the issue.
kennysarmy Posted August 2, 2019 Author Posted August 2, 2019 Thanks for replies - have used delprof2 with some group policy settings and it seems to be working - just gonna nip round today and between 3 of us turn everything on so the policy has a double chance of taking when the next person comes in! Cheers
