Man becomes a human fireball and dies a horrible death. It may be one of those 'Doh!!' stories but the tone of the article didn't seem to be particularly light-hearted.

Kinda reminds me of the guy who had some kind of skin condition, admitted to hospital, covered in some kind of flammable gel then decides to slope off for a fag! Only in the west country!

I'm sorry, but when you're dealing with plonkers like this (both the man and the police for giving him cigarettes) then you've got to laugh.

Well he was dying to get out to see an old flame, but the fires of passion were cruely extinguished by a policeman who could not stand the heat but this only added fuel to the fire of his undying love. Yet in the end, although his infatuation still Smoldered he had to cool his kerosene fuelled jets of love. A good match is hard to find, and the heat of new love is usually the hottest.
