Just noticed that the Windows Display Language is US by default :( and you have to install a Local Experience Pack via the Microsoft Store to be able to change it to UK/GBR settings - I'm in the process of creating a 'Golden Image' that I will be deploying via SCCM, is there a way of adding this option to the Task Sequence or a Group Policy setting to do this?

Also, by default the Preferred Language is once again US and UK is the secondary setting, I've manually removed the US option so the UK is now default, again has anyone automated this on all their student computers either via the initial deployment via SCCM or is there a GPO to change the default and remove the US setting?

Thanks.

If it's not too late I would start again with the "English International" ISO from VLSC. It's en-GB by default (rather than en-US with the "English" ISO).

Is English International the same as installing the same as the standard English version and changing the language settings to GB/UK - for example there is a difference between and English UK keyboard and an International English keyboard - both keyboards look the same with the " and @ symbols in the right place but the International English keyboard wont work properly with the English UK keyboard settings.

I just want to make sure I wont be creating more problems that I'd be solving by using the International English version of Windows 10 - I shall be installing this on 400+ PCs so no room for any cockups on my part!

Does the International Version for example use mm rather than inches for example?

International English is what Microsoft call British English. Everything about it is British (including the use of millimetres rather than inches). :)

You are currently using the American English version (or what Microsoft call "English") which is why it defaults to en-US.

A lot of Edugeeks (including myself) deploy the International English version of Windows 10 without any issue.

It's generally less hassle than dealing with American English Windows 10 since everything is in British English from the very start.

The following post by @Gongalong describes some of the issues you will have if you stick with the American English Windows...
