I am not sure if this is the right place to post this sort of question, but I'm going to jump in anyway!

We currently have a CC3 network running RM Easymail 2 server and are having the network recommissioned onto new hardware over the summer.

One of the primary differences will be that we're migrating to Exchange server. The problem is the migration.

RM have provisionally said they can do the bulk of the commissioning etc... w/b 21st July; but they can't do Exchange until Aug 12th.

My question is: what's the best solution for receiving mail between the 21st of July and the 12th of August? I don't particularly want to install Easymail again for the sake of a few days - nor do I want the hassle of mailbox migration etc...

Short of asking them to redirect it all to a mail cache somewhere that would be held until your exchange system was ready I don't see that you have any other option other than setting up a whole mail system for that time period and migrating it when they get around to installing exchange.

If the RM server provides IMAP access it is trivial to migrate the emails from one to the other so long as you have a user list and either a list of their current RM passwords or the ability to reset them all to one that you know.

This is part of the problem.

Whilst the server does allow IMAP access, historically we've not used it (previous technicians...). Consequently all mail is held in the User Area of each user, in their .pst file.

Do you know if it is possible / realistic to import them into Exchange?
