Arthur Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 only have Windows 7 key Activating Windows 10 with the Windows 7 key should still work. www.zdnet.com/article/heres-how-you-can-still-get-a-free-windows-10-upgrade 1
jmak Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) The Windows 7 Pro edition was converted to a retail edition of Windows 10 as part of the free upgrade. The impact of that was that you lost "re-imaging" rights. You should be able to reinstall from the official media and the licence should be in the BIOS. If you get issues after that, you can call the MS activation line and they should fix it - what you can't do is deploy a generic image using something like MDT or SCCM. If you want to use one of the standard imaging methods, you'll need a volume license which gives you upgrade rights from retail versions - but that's not free. Edit: was offline - hopefully the method quoted by @Arthur should get you out of your fix. Edited July 13, 2019 by jmak 1
Steven_Cleaver Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 Cheers Arthur and Jmak will give that a go, find a possible way with a bit of Googling so hopefully one of these work thanks again both .
