DalekSec Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Hi All, I'm planning on updating our Macs to Mojave this summer (currently on High Sierra). The only problem i foresee is we are running Sibelius 7.1 which says it doesn't support Mojave. Guessing this is down to Mojave changing the file format to APFS. I know High Sierra does for flash storage but all our Macs are either Hybrid or conventional HDD so weren't changed in High Sierra to APFS. Also looking at AVIDs website the latest Sibelius is 8.7.2 which also says it doesnt support Mojave, unless they changed the naming conventional after that release as they have different named Sibelius versions which do (Ultimate, First etc.) I installed 7.1 on our test MBP running 10.14.5 and it seems to be working OK, but i have no real knowledge of the software so unsure what to test etc. Anyone running 7.1 on Mojave across a suite? does it run reliably? Thanks Dalek

geohanson Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 We’ve got Sibelius 7.5 running on Mojave on APFS with SSDs. We get an error/info message saying 7.5 won’t be supported on newer versions but it’s working perfectly otherwise. As long as it opening and the licences are being checked out (if you’re running a network licence server) then there shouldn’t be a problem.
