bald_pig Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Looks pretty straightforward: https://www.paxton.co.uk/docs/Application%20notes/AN1146.pdf
DGardiner Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 Looks pretty straightforward: https://www.paxton.co.uk/docs/Application%20notes/AN1146.pdf I saw that but was a bit worried when it listed compatible handsets - Was a bit uncertain if anything not on that list would be able to release the door, and our 3cx instance is cloud hosted
bald_pig Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Looking at the instructions, it's just a "press 1 to release" jobby, shouldn't be too bad, if you have everything I'd give it a crack. 1
mavhc Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 I have it working on FreePBX, it's not too tricky, apart from the terrible Windows UI that often forgets to save things. 1

Cool, that gives me some confidence! and the perfect person to ask questions! We would be getting it installed with the rest of the kit on the door anyway, the door fella seemed a bit :/ about the sip stuff said it should be fine. Am i right in thinking i just program an address list into the unit(users/ring groups) and they just display on the screen for people to press? Specifically wanting it so it can be used to easily alert the relevant team instead of annoying everyone in the building as the main reception isn't manned often.
howartp Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 We have it setup with Avaya IP Office. Only problem is the Entry software loses its SIP connection every now and again and you can't hit "reconnect" as there's no such button. You've to change the saved password to something wrong, ie add a zero to it, save it (so it tries to connect with wrong password) then change it back to correct password and save again. 1
mavhc Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Think you can do that, all I have it do is phone a sip number if no one answers the ipv6 video phones 1
