5nowman Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 All, Hope you are all well. I just read about Windows 10 Audit mode! When we created our windows 7 pro image Years ago we never used the audit mode. Do we HAVE to use audit mode to create the reference image? Or can we just install apps and sysprep it? Never had an issue with Win 7. Has anyone run into issues not using Audit mode and installing the apps? Any info would be much appreciated. Many thanks and kind regards. 5nowman
jthompson Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 I think you have to use audit mode if you're wanting to modify the default profile at all. With Win7 we used mandatory profiles for students, but with Win10 we're using local profiles (i.e. based on the default user profile), so we needed to modify the default profile in audit mode to clean up various bits. 1
5nowman Posted July 3, 2019 Author Posted July 3, 2019 we're gonna have redirected start menus, tiles redirected desktops. Profiles all local only. This is a new one on me with the audit stuff!
