PyROm Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 We are mainly microsoft based school and dont use or teach any google apps in school, however occasionally we get google documents shared into school from outside. Our AD is synced with google (mainly for youtube filtering). In order to view documents from outside we have to allow google docs (and therefore drive from what I can see). Is there any way around this to stop people using google drive (maybe even setting a max drive size of 0.1mb etc.)?
jthompson Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 I believe the two are inextricably linked. I'm not aware of any way to set a storage quota for Drive, either. You could set a very short retention rule for Drive using Google Vault, but that will also impact on the legitimate Docs that users have.
keyboards Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 You can turn drive and docs off but I don't know if that stops you viewing material emailed to you
