supportman Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) Does anyone have a quick way to remove the mail app and edge from the taskbar on new Windows 10 installs? Edited June 26, 2019 by supportman
Arthur Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 There are two different ways you could do this. Disable the "Show Windows Store apps on the taskbar" Group Policy setting. IIRC, this might only remove the Mail shortcut however. https://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/#10898 Create or edit a custom start/taskbar layout that replaces the default shortcuts shown on the taskbar with your own shortcuts. More details here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/configuration/configure-windows-10-taskbar#remove-default-apps-and-add-your-own xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/LayoutModification" xmlns:defaultlayout="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/FullDefaultLayout" xmlns:start="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/StartLayout" xmlns:taskbar="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Start/2014/TaskbarLayout" Version="1"> 3
