[sims] Where is the FMS setting to make it run extra slow?

Does any one know what I need to do with FMS as it seems to be running slow for one user? They have tried this on two different machines. They worte an e-maial as if I had slected a special mode to make it go slower. This user is putting in invoices to the system and it took them a day to do two.

Haha I bet you enjoyed that email! I'm sure I've seen this issue before and I can't recall exactly what it was but I have a feeling it might be something weird like their default printer. Can you try switching default printer and opening FMS again? You might just be able to switch back afterwards. If i'm right, I think it's polling the printer for access when opening a page with a print icon. If it's one that's offline it might be waiting for a response or lack of one before loading up the page.

 

If that doesn't work, just double check whether they have any files in the virtualstore directory C:\Users\\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ as you might find copies of FMS or Borland files that are incorrect or causing issues. If that's the case, might be worth moving them out of that folder and fixing their permissions for FMS/Borland/SIMS.ini, etc
