ITGURU Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I have a HP proliant server which has been running fine for a long time. Over the last few weeks it keeps randomly crashing without warning. Not much untoward in the event logs as to any reason why, however I have the extract from the HP Integrated log below> can anyone shed any light why this would start happening?
ITGURU Posted June 3, 2019 Author Posted June 3, 2019 Have any Windows updates etc installed recently? Yes, but same updates have been applied to identical servers without any issues. server is now fully up to date on all updates.
Fazza Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 What Operating System are you using as it's a known issue with Server 2012 R2 for example?
ITGURU Posted June 4, 2019 Author Posted June 4, 2019 What Operating System are you using as it's a known issue with Server 2012 R2 for example? Windows server 2016 all up to date.
TheLion Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 It's probably a driver issue. Compare the drivers on both machines and you'll probably have one at a different version. Get-WmiObject Win32_PnPSignedDriver| select DeviceName, DriverVersion https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/bug-check-0x133-dpc-watchdog-violation
mavhc Posted June 10, 2019 Posted June 10, 2019 https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html might show you the problem driver
