[ltsb, 1607] Latest Windows 10 updates break access to some UK Government websites...

My Business Manager called me today saying he couldn't get on the Local Borough School Support Services website - he had emailed them and got the response that the latest Windows Update had broken a lot of .gov.uk websites.

 

We were told to look at this...

"After installing the May 14, 2019 update, some gov.uk websites that don’t support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) may not be accessible through Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge"...

 

Reading through it seems to say there is a fix, but it doesn't appear to be stated in the body of the article, however there are a couple of comments at the end pointing to this:

However, this only appears to be relevant to 1809/Server 2019 (Applies to: Windows 10, version 1809, Windows Server 2019, all versions) unless I'm reading it incorrectly, it also seems to have a prerequisite of an SSU:

Which also only seems to apply to 1809/Server2019...

 

Does anybody know of a fix that actually applies to LTSB/1607?

 

We are on WSUS and nothing has appeared yet (our last CU was KB4494440).

I've imported this into our WSUS server, but clients are connecting and the status is showing as 'Not Applicable' (we've got the latest SSU - KB4498947 installed)...
