NetSupport Notify

I have a tech playing around with Netsupport Notify and seeing if it would work for evacuations etc.

 

Does anyone know if it will send a WOL packet? I could see a teacher presenting to the children, the children then get on with work and the teacher pc goes to sleep meaning the teacher wouldn't see the notify message.

Nothing we can see, at least not in version 3. Just swearing at it currently, wondering why on earth a) it refuses to pick up agents which have succesfully installed and all appear present and correct settings wise, and b) they store the key in plain text in the registry >

It sounds like you need to add the encrypted value of your gateway key to your GPO. I have dropped you a PM with instructions on how to obtain this.

I spent a good 2 weeks getting this working reliably for us. The documentation has a lot to be desired but the support was actually quite good. Not sure the claims that it integrates into AD can be corroborated though
