mike326 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 been using win 10 for years now last week some USB ports stopped and the only thing that works is to disable and then enable them Manual
3s-gtech Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 On one PC or many? I had it recently on one PC - the motherboard/southbridge had died. It got replaced.
mike326 Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 Just on one P.C. the USB work after disable and the enable them(after restart get !) the mouse and keyboard are USB and never stop work ?? going to move them around to see if that does anything??
3s-gtech Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 (edited) Possible IRQ conflict (some of our HPs do that, USB ports provided by different chipsets) and a BIOS reset tends to sort it. Edited May 10, 2019 by 3s-gtech
Duke5A Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 This is kind of funny as this just happened to me. Win 10 1607 LTSB. I went to replace the keyboard on my workstation and couldn't get three keyboards to be detected. Mouse worked fine. Rebooting the machine worked and the keyboard started functioning during post. Haven't had any issues since, but I haven't messed with any other USB peripherals either. Just chalked it up to Windows being stupid.
mike326 Posted May 11, 2019 Author Posted May 11, 2019 not getting all the post sent to me (my email?) will try all
