IT Technician

£17,000 - £22,000 depending on qualifications and experience

The Peterborough School is the leading independent co-educational school in Peterborough for approximately 450 pupils aged 4 – 18 years and an excellent Nursery, which also cares for approximately 60 children.

 

We are now seeking an individual with the necessary experience to assist the Network Manager in ensuring the effective running of IT systems and to provide 1^st line support to the users, technical support to staff and classroom support to the teachers and students.

 

The ideal applicant will be flexible in their approach to work and able to deal with support queries, recognise potential problems on the network, provide A/V, Windows, Mac, iPad & printer support in addition to maintaining all software applications used in the school (curriculum and administrative).

 

Experience of working in an educational environment is desirable and to apply for this role, you should have experience of Windows Server (ideally 2016), Windows 7/10, MS Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print services plus an understanding of cloud based solutions.

 

 

Please note that all holidays must be taken during the published School holidays.

We use a Vanilla Windows Server 2016 Network and although experience of this type of network is desirable, it is not essential.
