Ailsa-Midge Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 So, I only gave 50 days notice to leave Capita instead of the required 90 and despite offering to pay a penalty I am now locked in to another year. However, the problems are such that I don't think the system is fit for purpose. For example, just had two days when I only had some data in Circulate and not all the data. I often have no data at all when searching the catalogue. The stock checking module wasn't working for weeks. It's not easily compatible with Bromcom and there are problems every year adding new borrowers. I don't have any student photo's uploaded. Network Services hate it. And every week I have issues with just watching the spinner whirring around and unable to do anything. I have errors logging in. It is truly awful. I am currently sitting on payment as I have told them I am just not paying for something that often doesn't work. I want to move to AccessIt. Anyone else have the same issues or any advice? Thanks
gmonks Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 We were in a similar situation at one of our schools. What we did to get round it was they offered us another 'basic' package which was £300 - £400ish as opposed to £695 We're not using that but it means we're saving £300+ We've moved to Libresoft at both schools and have found it to be a good library system so far. 1

Thanks This is well documented in the Edugeek threads. Clearly it's not fit for purpose. With SLTs backing, refuse to pay and ditch them. 1
