mdrabble Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 At the title suggests....... should I be using this to convert and deploy Packages or can I ignore this for the time being and carry on as normal?
strawberry Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Unless you want to convert programs to applications theres no need. 1
Norphy Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 If you're still using programs to deploy software to computers, it's well worth using this to convert them to Applications as it'll save the time having to do it manually. There are several advantages to using Applications in SCCM, not least amongst them are the fact that there are detection rules with Applications. If the machine already has the software installed, SCCM won't attempt to install it again if you deploy an Application to a collection. 1
