talksr Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) Hi there, Does anyone have any experience of deploying Clever Touch (interactive screen) Lynx software. I am able to find the 64-bit MSI downloader, we have a site licence, but I am not too sure how I can get the site licence onto the MSI and deploy it via Group Policy. Would be grateful if anyone can give me some tips on how best this can be achieved. Lynx - MSI and Group Policy Help.pdfLynx MSI Installation Help.pdf Edited April 25, 2019 by talksr
Accura2k7 Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Clever touch supply the adm files for group policy where you can set the licence details and you deploy the msi as normal. Works fine here, deploys perfectly. Snowflake however deploys fine but you need to run it the first time on each machine as an administrator and sign in to activate it. 2

Thanks, after some digging on their site, I found the instructions for using Group Policy. I have added the adm file and configured the info as well as put in the site licence. I am just focused on Lynx for the time being. It isn't deploying to any client stations. I have opened Event Viewer and under System, I am getting a warning: The assignment of application Lynx from policy Lynx6.5.3.0 failed. The error was: %%1274. Any ideas? Could this be a UAC related issue?

Thank you. What would be the best way of me adding these? Their instruction document recommended adding an adm file into Group Policy. It had all of the properties in your switch which I have already populated, but it seems to be failing to deploy to any stations. 1
TerryUK Posted May 31, 2019 Posted May 31, 2019 I normally create a computer policy to deploy Lynx which will install the software, I then create a separate user policy and use the Lynx ADM template to licence the software. Never had any issues Your issue sounds more like a MSI deployment issue. Have you had any problems deploying any other MSI's?
