surround sound options on mac pro ?

Just wanted to know what surround sound options there are on or for a mac pro ?

Do you mean hardware or software?

 

If hardware then if the Mac pro Spec is the same as the G5 IIRC the G5 has an optical connection so could go straight into a 5.1 srround system.

 

I remember vaguely that i had purchased a toslink splitter from Maplins and split my PC 5.1 toslink connection, G5 connection and DVD to go into my Sony 5.1 Surround Sound amp system.
