iPad as a visualiser stand

So one of the primaries I support has iPads for every teacher. They have bought an AirServer licence for each classroom.

The whole point of getting AirServer was to use the iPads to replace the visualisers they have currently - some vidifox document camera Vidifox i-3030 Portable Visualiser

The cameras are pants anyway and we go through VGA cables like plastic cutlery as the teachers like to push and pull the cameras around straining the cables and sockets and such.

 

Problem is they need iPad stands and the range extends from a £15 gooseneck to Belkin's £125 one and with 24 classrooms they aren't going to go for the latter, but they aren't convinced with something like the former.

 

has anyone come across any other options - any opinions would be appreciated. Thank you.

It seems alright, but it doesn't play fantastically well with our STM DUX cases -- the clip isn't really deep enough to get a secure grip, especially if the cover is folded over behind the device. Belkin's looks far more robust, although I feel like a bit more height is desirable, since the tablet's quite big and gets in your way, so you want to angle from slightly to the side. £125 is too much for me, though, at least when I'm still at the sort of proof of concept phase of trying to sell some teachers on this as a useful tool. We had a standalone visualiser for a while in our sciences faculty, but it was only ever embraced by one teacher who's now left. Having recently observed kids jostling for position to try and observe a practical demonstration, I'm having another go. I've got a few teachers interested in video marking of written work, too, which is a bit of a gentler use for the kit.

We bought a few of the Belkin ones. They work really well but requires the iPad to be out of the case.
