TwistedHelixis Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I just stumbled on to a page on the Smarttech site that is for remote managing the interactive TV's and possibly installing Google Play Store apps, but from what I can tell, this is not a free product. This is for a small primary school so wondering if we can do this without having to purchases additional software? Does the remote management software work and do the apps all run OK?
JJonas Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 If you have found a back door way to install things without paying for the service you will almost certainly be breaking licensing terms and copyright. At best you will probably invalidate your warranty(s) and at worst you could make the school liable for a large fine and possibly find yourself on the receiving end of disciplinary action. Remember you cant be fired for refusing to break the law. If they want it they need to pay for it.

Wrong end of a stick me thinks. I was wondering if the TV could install apps manually via the TV itself (like my home TV can) or locally, rather than having to buy what looks like an online product that does way more than I need. 1
JJonas Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 It might be able to but you will still probably invalidate the warranty by doing so.
