Leaving Notes on the server

is there a way on server 2012+ to leave notes about the server (to yourself, or others). I've just disabled the variable windows extension for tftp for the wds workaround.

 

At the moment I make a blank text doc with the note as the file name on the desktop, is there a better way built in?
