We are primarily looking for a junior engineer with probably less than two years experience, however if you are a level 1 or level 2 and looking to join a fast-growing, fun, friendly company then we'd love to hear from you! Requirements - Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to learn quickly. - Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure, both alone and in a team. - Ability to understand nuances of working within the education and business sectors. - A UK driving license with no more than three penalty points, or a commitment to obtain your license within three months of starting. - The ability to pass an enhanced DBS check. - The right to work in the UK without need for sponsorship. Responsibilities - On site installation, troubleshooting and support of a variety of IT systems. - Provide effective and clear support to customers via e-mail, phone, and remote support sessions. - Communicate with clients and team members. - Test and evaluate new technology. - Create clear and concise documentation when required. Working hours This is a full time position. A typical working day is 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Qualifications & ExperienceWe are more interested in finding the right person than the right certifications. Experience and degrees are nice, but they are not a substitute for passion, motivation, and dedication. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working in a customer facing technical support & troubleshooting role. A large portion of our customers are in the education sector and the job will involve travelling to different sites to troubleshoot problems, install new hardware and offer general advice to non-technical users. The job is pitched at a junior level, ideal for someone with a bit of experience under their belt who is looking for their next challenge. There will be opportunities for work-based and external training as well as attending industry seminars and networking sessions such as MacADUK. Although the role is primarily Apple focused, you will need to be capable of providing general tech support on a variety of systems. Crossover Solutions has also just become a Google for Education partner and is seeing rapid growth in the number of G Suite setups and Chromebook deployments that we are carrying out.
