fiza Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Does anyone utilise wireless VoIP phones? We have a couple of rooms that have no network connections in but need a phone. Do I need to run a network cable or is there an option for wireless? The phones coming in are Yealink phones.

MatthewL Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 They do a WF40 for the Yealink phones too but what I did discover last week was the Grandsteam GXP1760W, just needs power and is quite a nice handset. My mates business has just deployed a load of a FreePBX installation and they are not that expensive I don't think. Find a Grandstream gold re-seller if you can. 1
Katy Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 We've got one, think it might be a Grandstream would have to check tomorrow. We were replacing a DECT VoIP one with a proper Wifi VoIP handset. Walked round the entire building and you just heard a little click as you switched from one AP to another but worked perfectly. 1
MatthewL Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Grandsteam do a cordless handset to, have a look on their website, its pretty good.

mavhc Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Annoying that they cost as much as a smartphone though
robyholmes Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 If its static, would a AP in client mode not do?

Katy Posted March 5, 2019 Posted March 5, 2019 Might have to have a try of one of those if theyre 3cx compatable Would have thought so if it's just standard SIP. Mine's hooked up to fusionPBX which is basically freeswitch with a PHP front end for the config.
