Due to a server failure I had to move our HAP to a new server. The old server was running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and the new server is running Windows Server 2016 Standard.

Well, moving the site did not go well. We were running an older version of HAP+ (v9.0.x) on the old server. I ran into issue after issue trying to get it to run on the new server so I decided to do a clean install of 10.6 on the new server. I cannot install under the default website directory as we have another site running there so I created it's own folder in a directory that I put another website in.

I followed the documentation that came with 10.6 specifically the IIS 7 section but I am getting the following error. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The ad user password is encrypted and is computer specific. So you will need to remove the setup.aspx page block, go to that page and reneter the admin password, this will update the password and reencrypt it

Nick, can you elaborate on "remove the setup.aspx page block". I am not sure what you mean.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck R.

Edit the Web.config file and remove change the setup.aspx line to allow all access then navigate to the setup page

Nick, thanks! No more error and I was able to get the initial setup complete and confirmed that I can login. Now the problem is no CSS (see attached file)! I found notes from my old install where I had to comment out the *.svg MIME type line. This install is v10.6 and I only found the line "" so I tried commenting that line out but it didn't help. I tried multiple browsers Remote Office.PNGSuggestions for fixing this on version 10?

Nick, nevermind! I commented out the entire section you have labeled "For IIS8 Remove this Section" and that seems to have fixed it!
