reggiep Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 Hmm, If you have read any of my other recent posts then you will know I am new again to CC3 after a 4 year break. I am setting up some laptops to go in a wireless trolley but I want to disable access to the choose a wireless network window as the students could disconnect the wireless as it stands. Any suggestions? Thanks
richard.thomas Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I'm not too sure how RM goes about this, but i'm sure it'll have most of the policy settings found on vanilla. Here we hide the notification area for pupil users (which will stop them getting to it via the wireless network icon). All the other standard stuff is blocked so they can't get to control panel, or connections etc.
rama1712 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Have you managed to hide the icon for the wireless/wired lan in taskbar if so how we are on cc3 and would like to do this to stop the kids disconnecting from the network so that when next kids use laptop it is not connected Thanks Stuart I'm not too sure how RM goes about this, but i'm sure it'll have most of the policy settings found on vanilla. ful56_uk Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 yeah just add a reg frag in the management console that hide all system tray icons for a student user, work fine and all they see is the time.
