Hi,

We are trying to develop a script that auto-populates a user's OneDrive, and also adds in our Team sites to the sync.

So far, we have managed to get OneDrive to install properly when the user first logs in to Win 10, and I have used the MS recommended link to launch a sync of a team site document area (the 'odopen' one), but now, I am at the point where I'd like this to all happen for the user, without their interaction. Bearing in mind that this is for students too...

Ideally, is it possible to:

1. Sign in the user's personal OD

2. Then add a set of team sites. The link that needs to be generated will need to pick up the local logged in user's email address, possibly.

Has anyone had any success?

Thanks

Auto sign in works when you have hybrid and SSO set up.

I’ve sketched out (in my head) a way of auto syncing the team sites, but I hear that MS have a solution that is in testing right now.

(My idea was to script the addition of the necessary details to the synced group property, and have a login script check each group the user is a member of for those properties and if found issue the necessary odopen command to ‘mount’ the site) (Group write back would be enabled to put the team groups into your local ad to enumerate against)

Have you checked out

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/use-group-policy#AutoMountTeamSites

You can auto sign in OneDrive, but I haven't tested the sync of team SharePoint etc. We are only just getting to grips with OneDrive and getting staff to save everything in that folder.

We are pushing on with it and implementating known folder move after Easter and hopefully removing home drives. Staff only at this point

Encouraging that they're moving in the right direction and if it's on the insider ring, it might actually happen, but

It may take up to 8 hours after a users signs in before the library begins to sync.

Sorry, what?? What on earth does it do for 8 hours?

They could **ship you an HD** from the datacentre with your data in that sort of time!
