caffrey Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 I'm trying to allow colour printing for some OUs but it's ignoring the setting and it still prints in grayscale - is there something obvious that I'm missing ? I've tried reversing just in case it's got a weird interface thing but nothing It's not the printer settings because if I uncheck The convert color jobs checkbox it prints in colour again
Big_Ted Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 are you only applying the filter to restricted users and the test user is not restricted? if not... This can occasionally be caused by a couple of settings on the specific print queue, namely "Advanced printing features" and "Bi-Directional Support". There are details on how to change these settings here: http://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/EnableAdvancedPrintingFeatures http://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/FixingPrintSpoolerCrashes#disbidirect 1
caffrey Posted February 12, 2019 Author Posted February 12, 2019 Looking at my image, I would normally expect that everyone that is in a group that is ticked would print in gray scale, and unticked would be allowed colour, I'll check out your links though thanks
Big_Ted Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 yep, but there is another tick box about only applying filters to restricted users. if that is ticked and yoru urser is not restricted..nothing happens. 1
