ability Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 HI, After leaving the projector on all night in the summer it did not start up again. I thought is should be the bulb and didnt use it anymore untill yesterday. I fired it up and it worked again.. I checked the bulb settings, it only has 1100 hrs on it. After powering it down it did not restart anymore. It falls back into a 30 seconds trying to fire the bulb i gues and then slows down the fans again. it ends up with a red blinking led. I find it kinda strange that it worked again. i tried the thermal switch , pushed hard on it, but no result. The bulb looks ok, except some brownlines in the back inside. Anyone suggestions? (i dont have a spare bulb)
RAK_ITAV Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 According to the PLC-XU83 User manual, the projector is overheating - Usually caused by excessive build up of dust! Remove, lamp, filters and give it a good clean with compressed air. A lot of our old Sanyos died this way! Isn't that model over 10 years old now?
chazzy2501 Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 The lamp has gone, too bad it's early. Worse luck the Power Supply for the lamp has gone. With overheating you'd expect the lamp to illuminate but soon after shutdown. it sounds to me that the lamp is failing to strike which usually happens with premature failure.
