Salary: £17,681- £19,819 per annum (for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)

Shenley Brook End School is recruiting an IT Support Technician. This is an early notification of the post being advertised and the full job description is still being finalised. However, the key details of the post are:

 

The ideal candidate will be working as part of the IT support team who provide the central point of contact for all IT-related service requests. The role of the IT Technician is to provide first line support for all staff and students within the school. It is a dynamic and varied role with the opportunity to gain valuable experience and knowledge in all forms of IT.

 

We are a well-equipped school with over 800 workstations running Windows 7 with plans to migrate to Windows 10. We have 2 suites of Macs and a stock of IOS devices. All of our servers are virtualised and Windows based. We run Office 365 with a cloud based exchange server.

 

Duties will include:

• Monitoring, allocating and responding to IT helpdesk requests

• The management of the IT Support team’s stock of consumables

• Maintaining and repairing academy IT equipment including audio visual items

• Supporting the installation, testing, inspection and configuration of new IT equipment

• Coordinating the creation of new user accounts and integration into school systems

• Ensuring that all relevant legislation is adhered to
