mikkydoos Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 (edited) Hi all, Has anyone experienced this with LTSC 1809 ? Sysplop is failing with what looks like a provisioned app issue. Get-AppXProvisionedPackage lists nothing.... literally... I presume because there aren't any provisioned apps in LTSC.... hence I can't remove it. The failure in the sysprep log is: Failed package 'Microsoft.Windows.SecondaryTileExperience' 'Failed to remove apps for the current user: 0x80073cf2' This is an in place upgrade from an 1607 LTSC image which did sysprep. Any suggestions appreciated. As usual.. hardly anything on the 'net. Cheers in advance Edited January 31, 2019 by mikkydoos
Michael Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 I didn't think you could run Sysprep on an upgraded version of Windows - it has to be a clean install unless this has now changed?
mikkydoos Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 No you can't but sysprep passes all the pre checks before erroring on this one so it seems that it will. I'm confused as LTSC doesn't (!!!) isn't supposed to have AppX but its failing on an AppX app. ?????????
Patrick Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 When I had issues with sysprepping an image I created a new local user, deleted the existing user that the sysprep failed with, then ran it as the new user and it went through. Maybe worth a try?...Sysprep eh
mikkydoos Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 I did try with a new user but didn't delete the other one. I'll try that out.
Patrick Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Delete though user profiles in system properties and clear any data left in user profiles folder. It worked for me but that was way back on 1709. 1
