User filtering open source UTM

Hi all,

 

We are currently using RM userbased filtering, but the password syncing is so unreliable I am looking for a temporary alternative to do the userbased filtering and user website logging as the school is looking at a Sophos UTM for the future (but dont know when). I have seen PFSense, OPNSence and ClearOS any recommendations?

I have used this in the past https://www.diladele.com/index.html the virtual appliance makes installation simple, set up is ok, management is as good as smoothwall but it's not free. and no one can pronounce it
