Hi all,

Theoretical question. If I wanted to build a parent site in wordpress and create multiple separate child sites underneath with their own theme etc. How would I go about this?

I would like the child sites to be part of the main site for rankings etc.

Cheers

Thanks @Marci. Would it be possible to ensure that everyone went through the parent site to get to the child sites? For example I did a sports site, but wanted a separate site for football, rugby, hockey etc. But wanted all visitors to go to Sports site to get to the others. Edited by Theldron

Depends - if all visitors have to log in, yes. You can knock up a plugin to redirect all logins to the root site (the WPO365 plugin does this for instance, if you’re integrating auth with O365 / AzureAD).

If visitors don’t have to log in and content is public, not easily.
