Scratch 3.0 - IE11 unsupported browser?

Just had a teacher come and complain that none of the students can use scratch (online version).

 

I went to the ICT suite and got on to the page just fine with the welcome to Scratch 3.0 bit, then when I clicked 'create' it gave me this...

 

 

I guess there no quick way around this (considering the constant stream of teachers I will have beating a path to my door today) without having to give them either an older version somehow installed on a server share or installing Chrome on all the ICT suites?

 

Bit of a blow for a lot of education establishments that don't use 'other' browsers, but have bought all the 'coding' books and have fully planned the term's curriculum on Scratch!!

Google Chrome is most peoples go to browser now so I'd just roll that out. Plenty help on here and GPOs available etc. We've never looked back, most pupils and staff just naturally switched to it as soon as we deployed it.

To be honest I wouldn't expect people to be using IE as their primary browser anymore. Development was discontinued quite a while ago. We don't offer it at all here.

To be fair, schools should have moved to Chrome as their primary browser years ago.

We use both here as some websites dont work in Chrome that well and a lot dont work in IE11 that well either.

Firefox has also now finally got GPO support and you can use the Windows Certificate store at last so our students mostly use chrome but firefox is now on all our builds too.
