Stevecee Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 one route is to use configurator and add an enrolment profile for DEP there, you have to set your ASM settings there but not sure it asks for reseller ID. This only works for iPads that are new enough to have been eligible for DEP in the first place HTH Steve
Brimstone Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 As Misco no longer trade, you won't be able to enrol the iPads into DEP automatically using their DEP ID. You can use configurator to manually enrol the device into DEP and to your MDM as long as the iPad will run iOS11. https://help.apple.com/configurator/mac/2.8/#/cad99bc2a859
Sydders01 Posted January 8, 2019 Author Posted January 8, 2019 @DGardiner, I cant user a configurator .We have an old mac that refuse to allow us download configurator. The mac is a Mac mini server(mid 2011) . We have OS X Yosemite on it you can use configurator 2.5 to self enrol them in DEP https://support.jamfnow.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000004483-Use-Apple-Configurator-2-5-to-enroll-iOS-devices-in-DEP
Zoom7000 Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 The Apple Configurator 2.5 method will only work if you have an iPad that supports iOS 11. (iPad, 5th generation and later; iPad Mini 2 and later). If you have anything older than this, then I'm afraid you're stuck. I have a few iPad 2 devices here and there which weren't registered and there doesn't appear to be any way to register them at all now.
tmoon-mint Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Not sure on the legality of it so please delete if not appropriate but Mojave Patcher? Allows you to install the latest macOS on not officially supported hardware. Like I say not sure how legal this is with regards to any Apple EULA being broken so be mindful of that. macOS Mojave Patcher

Some older iPads only support iOS 9 or below. The devices need to support iOS 11 for manual DEP enrollment to work (via Apple Configurator 2.5).

Brimstone Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 @Brimstone, They are Ipad 2 I'm afraid you are stuck then as they can not run iOS11.
