Hi folks,

We've got a laptop that I can't install the SIMS client onto.

Initially this manifested when the SIMS client didn't update to the Autumn version, so I did the usual of uninstalling the SOLUS client, removing the SIMS install directory, the SOLUS install directory, and C:\WINDOWS\SIMS.INI.

I reinstalled the SOLUS client which then normally fixes it, but although the SOLUS client has installed it's failing to install the SIMS client. I'm seeing the following over and over in the SOLUS log, and despite having rebooted the machine several times, and reinstalled SOLUS again, it gets no further.

"Failed deployment. Another deployment is currently in progress."

Any ideas?

Thanks

We recently had this. Uninstall Solus from control panel then reboot. Rename all Sims/Solus folders to old (programdata and program files). Remove the PC from the server then try reinstalling.

I've had the error a lot from the SOLUS client, but this is a first for me getting it in the log but *not* via the client - the client just shows nothing needing installing.

Already tried the uninstall and removal of SIMS/SOLUS, as mentioned in the OP. Hasn't worked this time.

we tried just uninstalling first but that didnt work. renaming all folders for solus/sims is what worked for us.

ProgramData/Capita

ProgramData/Solus 3

Program files/Solus3

Program Files (x86)/SIMS

Previously I've uninstalled the SOLUS agent, then deleted Program files/Solus3 and Program Files (x86)/SIMS. Wasn't aware of the ProgramData directories, so will give those a go as well.

I was going to mention those folders too, but thought you had already deleted them based on your reply to @jessica's post (which also mentioned the ProgramData folders). :)

C:\ProgramData\Solus 3
C:\ProgramData\Capita\Solus3

I bet once you delete those two folders SOLUS will redeploy properly since it always has done for me.
