Bit of an odd one yesterday, just wondered if anyone had seen it before.

Number of Windows 10 desktops, not domain, just local users, works fine in the office they are in.

Shared a folder on the desktop to enable MFD to scan to it, shared and set permissions as I always would, it would not work.

Created a folder on the root of the C drive, set permissions and allowed user to modify with it been on the root and it worked ok.

Have I missed something? Path used to scan was \\pcname\scans username and password specified as needed.

If that was the case when why does it scan if its in the root of the C drive rather than on the desktop?

The copier does communicate just not to a folder say shared from the desktop.
