I am just finalising my new build and want to replace my keyboard and mouse, looking for a mechanical keyboard, the Cherry MX keys seem to be popular, can anyone recommend any full sized keyboards with number pad, no a gaming one please?

Also looking to replace my probably 20 year old MS Optical Mouse, one of the original ones. Again after full sized not fussed about extra buttons 2 and wheel will do.

Thanks

You can get samples on Amazon for about £10. I went by the descriptions, which might not have been a good idea.

I have a DAS keyboard with the brown keys. I have to say, I'm not sure it was worth the £100+ compared to some of the modern style keyboards you can get. Not that its a bad keyboard, I just don't see that much difference. I'm all for good keyboards and mice though. Makes a big difference to a computer.

A massive fan of Das Keyboard - not cheap, but really reliable and absolutely love it. It just feels solid, well built and easy to type on! Will be really sad when my 3 Professional pops it's cloggs. Cherry MX Red is my personal go to, or the equivalent in either Razer or Logitech Romer G keys (although I still think the Cherry switches are the best)

If you can, find somewhere when you can play with the different types, it's well worth it, however, be aware, cheap unbranded switches most likely are cheap for a reason.
