[wanted] VHS Player / Recorder

I can't believe I am asking this...

 

Does anyone have a VHS Player / Recorder they are dumping please? Over the years I have parted with loads. Now I need one! I am based in Rochdale.

Keep an eye on freecycle or cash converters. My elderly neighbour still uses videos and grabs one whenever he sees one in Cash Converters as spares!

We have one or two, I think they are the VHS and DVD combo ones. Pay for postage and we can send you one. We are in West London.

Im appalled to admit they are still used at least still in the school I work at. I stumbled across one after a teacher logged a sound issue and was shocked to find they wanted to play a VHS on the projector.

Now I am of the age where I remember vhs but in today’s world, really? Needless to say VHS doesn’t fall within the ICT remit and I recommended services that would still record into a digital format. 🤯

I keep one around just to be able to copy VHS tapes to digital - it won't do copy protected tapes but is great for home videos

 

I also have another somewhere - just in case

 

However - I'll probably get rid soon as I haven't needed them for ages
