Grace1990 Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Hello, I am trying to come up with a way to track rewards (in our school they are House Points) given by staff and hopefully in the process streamline the data collection for rewards. The SIMs manager in our school say there is not a way to log awards without it counteracting the behaviour points as the two are intrinsically linked but I have spoken to some colleagues who believe it is possible but do not know how. Has anyone else found a similar issue and found a way around it? Thank you!!
bfelton Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Achievement points are recorded separately from Behaviour points, there is a Conduct Points measure that is basically the Achievement minus the Behaviour but that is a separate measure.
Linfit Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Indeed - we use SIMS for this and behaviour and achievement can be reported separately with no issues. There are some pre-defined reports that take the aggregate totals, but its not inherent in the system.
theeggmaster Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 We do this using a report in SIMS that we created, and we then upload to a Google Sheet which tracks the rewards when the student cashes them in. We use the 'Total Achievement Points' field from the 'Conduct' section of the report editor.
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Some of our schools do this and feed the total Achievement points into assessment manager using a set of scripts we developed so they can mark off the spends in a Marksheet.
Grace1990 Posted December 13, 2018 Author Posted December 13, 2018 Thank yous everyone! I will suggest these.
