chris11256 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 Good Afternoon all, Just hoping for some advice with a problem that we've got with two access points. They're online and registered with the controller, but both radios on both access points are down. At this stage we've tried restarting, factory resetting and manually disabling & enabling the radios without any success. I don't think it's a POE problem as other access points receiving the same amount of power are still working. Thanks, Chris
FishCustard Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 I don't think it's a POE problem as other access points receiving the same amount of power are still working. For elimination, could you swap the access points for working ones and see if the problem follows the location or the AP?
Mark182 Posted December 7, 2018 Posted December 7, 2018 On the AP what does show 802.11b show 802.11a Come back with?

Will give this a try. It's at our junior school, so will ask the tech to swap it. On the AP what does show 802.11b show 802.11a Come back with? Afraid neither of these commands work on the AP.
chris11256 Posted December 7, 2018 Author Posted December 7, 2018 To finish my own thread. No one here is admitting to doing it, but certain random switch ports were configured for a max POE output of 15.4 watts. Changing the port back to auto(as it should have been) has sorted the problem!
