MAT domain migration

Morning all,

 

Our MAT is looking to migrate all the existing AD domains in its schools to the central MAT's Active Directory forest.

 

To this end, I am after an experienced company/consultant that we can work with in order to achieve this.

 

I would appreciate if anyone can recommend a suitable company/consultant. We would prefer a company/consultant that can provide us with reference sites that can be contacted.

 

Just in case, we are based in the West Midlands.

In september we went through a merge of 3 schools into one MAT domain with Virtue Technologies

 

It was a scary process but I definitely like how they handled it and the after support has been good too!

Good to know it went well for you; including the after support. I have actually dealt with them in the past with regards to installing our WiFi network some years ago. I didn't realise they are now into migration projects.

I can imagine. The costs can easily mount up, especially for bigger MATs. Hopefully you get the best company for it. Thanks.

Anybody in the MAT Network Manager grade and above able to merge the networks internally or maybe a local MAT could help ? it will probably cost quite alot outsourcing and upskilling internal staff would be good for future schools joining ?

Wow, how many schools are you looking to migrate?

3 secondary schools and 3 primaries currently with the view to build a standard package when we take more schools on. We have 3 very competent nms (including me lol)
