Olliesaurus Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I have inherited three school that have 150 iPads in each place, however one has Lightspeed roughly setup and two have nothing in place for managing them. Does anyone know of any guides for first steps to be taken to get them managed from a single location? Maybe I can utilize Lightspeed and have them all from the single panel... Otherwise i'm going on a car boot sale run
XiJ Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Mosyle We’ve always Ed used meraki but I’ve given this a try and it’s superb. Gives me a fair bit more control too. You can have different locations so would work across different schools. Im still in the trial although I think the free version would be enough. But the paid version seems more than Reasonable. kidpressingbuttons Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 We are fully mosyle and loving it. Highly recommend!
icemonkey Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 We've been using Mosyle for only a few weeks now and it's great. We do come across features that we would like to use that are "premium" but there's enough in the free version to let you effectively manage the devices. I'm currently pricing up a premium subscription so I can have a crack at managing our macs.
Brimstone Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 So...... Each school will need to have its own instance of Apple School Manager. If the MDM allows you to have multiples of the following in each site: VPP Token DEP Token You can then set multiple sites up, I would doubt you get this with a free MDM. With 150 x iPads for each please ensure each site has a caching Server
maark Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I would recommend lightspeed mdm - it will cost you £5 per device per year but will make things so much easier - locking down, installing apps, tracing if they go missing etc. etc.
Olliesaurus Posted November 30, 2018 Author Posted November 30, 2018 Thanks all, Your help is as always greatly appreciated!
themightymrp Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Lightspeed user here. Great software and possible to manage multiple sites under one interface
