Hey everyone

I am in the process of preparing a plan migration to office 365 we have around 300 user to move across as well as Google sheets and Google drive . Has anyone moved and had any issues. Best guides for this.

This is a little off topic, but can I ask why you are moving from Google to Office 365?

I am.on office 365 and often wondered what the differences might be, and what makes people choose either or.

I don't think that's true.. it's very rare I see a school on Google. 95% of the time it's office 365.

I wonder if it's somewhere in between - woudl be great to have some real data. I'm at a Free School and we are GMail only and I know other Free Schools that are GMail only - I think new schools setting up can be drawn towards the GSuite solution, largely put off by MS licensing. From next week I'm join a primary base MAT of about 7 or 8 schools at present. They seem to be evenly split, perhaps with a slight bias to O365. In fact, in terms of trust level strategic direction, they've told me that want to go in the O365 direction, at least for email. I'll live with that to add to my learning experience and to compare first hand. In terms of general market activity, I think MS are pushing back on the education sector, but from my experience of Google support over the last four years, they will take to better.

Also interesting - I see you are Surrey location - all my experience is Surrey too, but very different perceptions! I'd be interested to know which Surrey schools you have experience with. Happy to receive PM if you don't mind sharing.

If you want to stick with MS Office and Windows you pick O365, if you want to use Chromebooks and embrace the new world of collaboration you pick GSuite.

You sign up for GSuite anyway because loads of 3rd parties offer Login With Google.

New school, Gsuite, obvious choice, no point buying everyone a copy of MS Office, no legacy files.

Old school depends on the staff, will they adapt to change?
