PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION

SALARY: Grade 10 £34,106 - £37,107. REQUIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Trustees are seeking to appoint an effective and efficient Trust IT Manager to work closely with all stakeholders to plan, design, implement and deliver robust, secure, safe, resilient, responsive and scalable IT systems and services to students and staff that support the strategic aims at the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust (BKCAT) based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

The Trust, formed in 2012, is a large Catholic multi academy trust; its central team office is located in the Nostell Business Park, Wakefield at present. Working closely with the Diocese of Leeds and currently comprising ten Catholic primary schools and two Catholic secondary schools, the BKCAT is committed to working in partnership to provide the highest possible standards of Catholic education for our children.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a demonstrable commitment to the mission and ethos of BKCAT.

The position will be accountable to the Trust Standards Officer and will be responsible for developing and implementing a uniform IT strategy across all academies and the Trust, managing the operational delivery of all infrastructure. This will include ensuring the Trust’s IT technical structure is stable, based on industry standards, and is developed in a sustainable environment. In addition the post holder will evaluate systems and work with third party companies, develop Trust IT procurement strategy and IT related policies, supporting equality and diversity and ensuring confidentiality whilst contributing to the effective operation and team working of the Trust IT Team, the Central Trust Team and across all academies.

The successful candidate will develop and implement a clear structured IT strategy to deliver IT leadership, policy and practice over multiple sites ensuring communication systems are in place to enable collaboration for all areas and IT operations are highly professional and operating to agreed levels, developing the IT architecture to maximise the investment in technology and ensure efficient use of resources, advising on IT risk and strategies to minimise that risk. The Trust IT Manager will lead, performance manage, motivate and develop the team, and also look to extend this service commercially in order to generate income for the Trust.
