Every System

We currently use Zendesk, but our central academy team are trying to pursuade us to use the Every System in replacement for our IT Fault system.

 

I did look at it a few years ago and found it very unusable.

 

Anyone use it? Any comments would be valued!

Back in March, a member of our staff with admin rights sent me a "shortcut link" that Every generated (My Profile > Download Login Shortcut), in the format of https://www.every.education//Account/ShortcutLogin?alk=, which when clicked dropped me straight in, logged in as them, with all their access rights. That link still works to this day. With it, I can change that user's privileges and security details without any further prompting for information.

 

On that basis alone, I won't recommend it to anyone - It's security is questionable.

It's horse crap, and not even manure grade. It's usable for our site staff but that's about it, we'd rather pay for another system than use it (we use OS Ticket though, massively preferable)

We've looked at it too. I wouldn't use it here - it's so basic and cumbersome. We have offered to build an alternative for the site team - but they don't wish to move. :-(

 

There is a SSO app which 'encrypts' the login information which we were shown after raising the concern @Marci mentions.
