snagrat Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 On Friday all out MFDs started to stop responding to Papercut. Our MFD support team looked at it briefly but then it was the end of the day. I’m looking now and one of the copiers I can monitor the screen. It currently says: Unable to connect: Failed to initialise device capabilities store Retrying All Papercut services are running. I have rebooted server. Can login to Papercut and do everything but the devices all show as inactive. Papercut is version 15.3 and nothing changed on Friday to cause this. Anyone seen this error? Struggling to find anything online.
ricki Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Are all these services started see https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/StoppingAndStartingPaperCutServices
MatthewL Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 What MFD's are you using? Also are you still in maintenance as 15.3 is a very old version now, 18.3 is now out.
Big_Ted Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Hiya, restarting SQL and iOS won't do much (not sure what the iOS service is) Can you put a pic of the error on here? and yeah, what copiers are they this will help. capabilities files are not uncommon, papercut uses them when changes are made (such as editing a setting on a print queue) Once we know the device we can see what logs we can get but a pic would be handy.
